Asha Vocational Technical Training Institute (AVTTI)

It is important to initiate a skill development programme for the community youth in order to bring them in the mainstream of society. The ADF took that initiative and established vocational training institute in the project area. The AVTTI project has made a good impact on the youth of the community. The continuous meeting with community people and the youth has motivated them to synchronize with the skill development programme or higher education. A well structured strategic plan was developed to encourage the youth to enhance their vocational skill. It worked very positively and a moderate number of youth synchronized with the AVTTI. The programme is very helpful in shaping the lives of youths who are semi-literate. Trainees get certificates from the institution after completion of the training, which is a very beneficial to them for securing a job. The AVTTI not only provides the vocational skill to the youth but training on business skill and entrepreneurship is also given to students in order to improve their professionalism in career. Every month assembly of all students are organised at HRD Centre. In assembly issues related to career opportunity are discussed. The ADF has networking with Jan Shikshan Sansthan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). The AVTTI is supported by Ms. Karin Abrahamson and friends from Amals Forsamling.
