Community Based Care & Support (CBCS)
 

Asha Deep Foundation has been running CBCS project past two in Janta colony & Sundar Nagri areas of North East Delhi with support of Mamta Health Institute for Mother & Child, New Delhi. The project has been working in most densely populated covering areas Janta colony & Sundar nagri the around 100000 populations. CBCS awaring HIV/AIDS people with help of different activities to bring light in their lives. In these two areas around 130 community inducer directly & indirectly working with community & educating people regarding Health related issues. The Asha Deep Foundation social workers do follow up visits to their houses to find out needs.

AIM of Project: Minimizing the vulnerable conditions of persons living with HIV positive.  

Objectives:-

  • Community mobilizing through different activities
  • Community Awareness activities regarding HIV/AIDS, STI, STD & health camps
  • Capacity building activities for  CBCS staff members, community inducers and PLHIV’s
  • Treatment Care & Support Programme for PLHIV and specially CLHIV/CAA
  • PLHIV involvement in community work.

Activities run under CBCS project

    • Registration of PLHIV, CLHIV
    • Referral and linkages of pregnant women and spouse for HIV Testing.
    • To provide nutrition, education and medical support to children andadults.
    • Meeting of support group of adolescence boys & girls and adults.
    • Sensitization & capacity building programme with Health care support provider or Health care providers.
    • Workshop and Follow-up meeting to conduct to strengthen Positive people to live as a normal life.
    • Facilitating of PLHIV & FAA on home based care
  • Meeting with Community Inducers
  • Direct Support for CLHIV/CAA/OVC and Caregivers towards Education, Nutrition, Medical, IGP & Emergencies in every month
  • GIPA ( Greater involvement of PLHIV in community activates)
