HRD & DOCUMENTATION India has developed vast pool of Human Resources. This resource is presently not utilized for the development of society as well as country. This resource has to be managed through proper skill development and channelized in a direction to built a prosper and complete society. The human resource development centre helps in developing that culture among the people who are part of this society. It is important to strengthen and empower the people through training to make the society a better place to live. The society has to establish a disciplined culture which helps in development of individual as well as whole community. Asha Deep Foundation has a well equipped setup to organise training, seminars and workshop to build the capacity of people. The organisation has in house faculty of professional resource persons to conduct training on topics of social and community development. Every year HRD conducts more than 500 trainings with different target groups on various issues. Beside that HRD has a Documentation Division, which is responsible for preparation of periodical development reports of all the projects of ADF. The documentation division participates in planning, monitoring, evaluation, research study on socio-economic issues of community. It helps in preparation of proposal as well as better execution of development programmes.
The Aim of Human Resource Development & Training Center:
The aim of HRD-Training & Documentation Division is to build the capacity of staff and beneficiaries to fulfill the vision of ADF.
Main objectives are:
- To build up attitudes and democratic function through communities including all activities related to Community Development.
- To provide knowledge and understanding necessary for community Development work which involved on several occasion study of urban slum society, its problems, issues & Measures to overcome them.
- To inculcate important functional skills & capacity so that the individuals could take up work Independent work Responsibilities.
- To acquaint certain values, like truthfulness honesty, courage, dignity and respect to an individual, non-judgment attitude, giving freedom to people to make their own choice & decision.
- To develop deeper consciousness & certain professional talents, qualities Potentialities which are hidden amongst the community people (Children, Youth & Adults) and would be a necessity for functioning of community development.
- Training is provided for motivation, knowledge and skills oriented in the matter or formation and Management of organization.
- To continuously upgrade the professional skills and knowledge with development of spirit of Co-operation & understanding amongst the workers in order to achieve the Organizational Goals and Objectives.
- To invite Rural & Urban youth who lack opportunities in life to instill in them the concept and perspective of development with personality & confident building to move forward in life, facing all circumstances & situation.
- To upgrade the data-base of organisational development programme.
- To assess the socio-economic-educational need of the underprivileged community in a target area and prepare documents for their development.
- To prepare periodic reports of development project run by ADF.
Activities:
- Training & Workshop:
The main activity of HRD centre is to provide training to the different target groups on pre-decided themes & topics. Apart from that HRD is responsible to organise seminars, workshops and cultural programmes for in house and outside agencies. The Development of all nature needs continuous up-gradation may it of Human resources or the community. The vast numbers of projects of ADF and staff requires training to increase their skill in order to bring positive and sustainable results. In this process HRD and Training Centre is set up to upgrade knowledge and skills to the project staff so that they remain updated to the current development in the social arena. It also provides trainings to the project beneficiaries to change their attitudes, knowledge and practice. The training is major activities of all the project and it is conducted at the HRD Centres. The organisation has internal faculty to provide training to the respective target groups on defined issues and topics. Time to time out side professional resource persons are invited to provide training. It has the infrastructure and equipments to conduct training and workshops. Besides Training seminar, cultural programmes and events are also organised here. HRD & Training centre organised 165 workshops & trainings beside other programmes such as cultural programmes, seminars etc. A total of 4236 persons participated in the programme.

- Documentation:
Apart from that HRD is responsible for making project reports and documentation of activities organised at ADF. Asha Deep Foundation is involved in research and study related to social development. The organisation has been carrying out baseline studies, need assessments, mid-term and concurrent evaluation of the community based project for its own as well as for other non-government organisations. The organisation has carried out research for street and working children of Northeast District Delhi to assess their socio-economic and educational status. The organisation also conducted a study to understand the level of exclusion of socially excluded children (Children involved in Rag Picking) of F-Block of Seemapuri. The study was awarded by Save the Children, India. The organisation carried out a need assessment in five villages of Ghaziabad district of U.P. The study was carried out to know the socio-economic status of community of Attor, Nangla, Mohanpur, Bhaneda and Shamsher villages especially focussing on women and girl child. Presently the organisation is involved in study on livelihood of people of Ghaziabad.
Apart from that ADF publishes education material, modules, posters and pamphlets on children, women, adolescents, and education, health and livelihood issues. The ADF every year publishes its Annual report based on internal evaluation and with the participation of community. The organisation has been in process of developing a benchmarking database to evaluate the development in the community in terms of social, economical, political, educational and spiritual with respect to all section such as children to senior citizens. At the same time database would track the increase in government fund allocated to the area and its utilization.
- Seminar & Events:
The HRD of Asha Deep Foundation is also play a major role in organising major events and seminars related to project. The Annual day, Sports day, Christmas and International Women' Day are the major events of ADF. These events are organised to mobilize the community. HRD takes part in managing all the affairs related to guest management, programme planning, venue arrangement and media relation. Apart from that seminar organised in different auditoriums and venue is also taken care of by HRD division. In this process An interactive workshop of stakeholders to improve the accessibility of services in order to ensure the child rights was very successful. The seminar was organised at Purvanchal Sanskritik Kendra, Delhi. Similarly A major workshop of ICDS functionaries was organised at ISI, Lodhi Road, Delhi, which was attended by 71 ICDS functionaries. Competitions are integral part of every project of ADF. The HRD provide all the logistic support to make these competitions successful.
