Introduction of the Project
Integrated Rural Development Programmes (IRDP) in Farrukh Nagar, consisting of five villages in Ghaziabad District, Uttar Pradesh. This target area is located about 10 kilometers from the district city of Ghaziabad under Loni and Raja pur Block in the state of Uttar Pradesh, which is bordered by Delhi to the west. The main center of the ADF is in Shahid Nagar, about 12 kilometers from these villages
Aim of the project:
The aim of the project is to attain overall socio-economical development of the rural community of the Ghaziabad District through Integrated Rural Development Programme with special focus on Women Empowerment.

Objectives of the Project
- To strengthen the women federation and Community in order to increase their participation to address the social and economic issues on right platform
- To build the capacity of women and community in so that they can address the problem to improve their social, economical and health status.
- To Facilitate Interaction among the stakeholders & community especially women in order to speedy implementation of government schemes and programmes.
Major activities of the Project
IGP TRAINING:
During the intervention period training was organized on different issue in the target village. The training was organized at Asha Nagar project office. Women from different groups participated in the training. Since the SHG groups were formed in the villages. Training of these groups were organized to educate the members about the how to accumulate their savings through income generation programme. Resource persons from in-house resources were appointed to give training to women. A total of 126 women participated in the training. Women have started IGP programme. They have invested a total of Rs. 40000.00 in mustard oil sale and fodder for cattle
Festival Celebratation
Different religious and National festival ware celebrated in the entire village with adolescent girls children’s and Women’s group of the village all members assembled at a specific point of that village,
They painted Rangoli and decorated lamps at the place. They displayed their gifts, sweets on a table at the venue. Member actively participated in the cultural programme .
COMPETITION
Time to time department organized different competition for adolescent girls & women's group like, Raita competition (food prepared with curd), Quiz & Sharbat competition card for girls team organized making, Mehandi Quiz Competition, Diya (Lamp) Painting and Stitching
Its main focus to encourage the women in healthy competition as well as bringing all the women irrespective of their caste and religion on one platform. Prize and refreshment distributed to all the winners as well as participants. Women enjoyed the competition.
CAMP OF CHILDREN
Camps of Scout and Guide for children were organized in the Attor, Nangla and Shamsher villages. Each camp was six days duration. The trainer from Scout & Guide Academy Delhi conducted the camp. Children were informed about the importance of scout and guide in the camp. During the training children were trained about how to make different types of knots to provide help to the victims of hill area, they were trained about how to carry the patients in stretcher and provide them first aid in accidents. Different types of symbols and how to find way in jungle and locate the missing persons were also taught.. Children took oath to follow the rules and regulation of scout and guide. It was first exposure to children of this kind.. The camp helped in increasing the self confidence of children and also motivated them to help the fellow citizens in need.
Immunization: Another major initiative is the Immunization for children under 5 years. (This is an especially vulnerable group 967 were immunized for Tetanus, Pertusis, Diphtheria, Measles, BCG, Hepatitis B and Typhoid.

International Women’s Day
Women’s Empowerment Department organized International Women’s Day on 8th March 2010 at project office D-81, Shahid Nagar, Delhi-UP Border, Ghaziabad, . On this occasion more than 1500 women and adolescent girls of northeast district Delhi and Ghaziabad district of U.P. A rally was organized from O-Block Seemapuri in which women all the project area participated. The rally was flagged off by Mr. Veer Singh Dhingan, M.L.A. Seemapuri & Special Guest Rev. Dr. Ju Young Park. The rally moved around the Dilshad Garden and Seemapuri finally reaching to the main venue of the celebration. The theme of this year International Women’s Day was Care & Protection of Girl Child. Women shouted slogan all the way during the rally to aware the local community people. Pamphlets were also distributed to passers by, residents and shops keepers.
On this occasion Chief Guest Mrs. Sandhya Bajaj, Member, NCPCR, inaugurated the event with Special Guest Rev. Dr. Ju Young Park, Mrs. Mamta Walia, T.G. Angels Media Pvt. Ltd., and Mrs. Urmila Mudgal, Ex. Chairperson GDA by lighting the lamp. Children and adolescent girls participated in the cultural programme. A Haryanvi Dance presented by the adolescent girls of IRDP project was very impressive.
